    A career in aviation is not a one step process

    Being born on the small island of Anguilla, it was almost inevitable that flying would be a part of my future. Watching the small to mid-sized aircraft take off and land at the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport became quite the hobby of mine, which later resulted in garnering a summer job in the Air Traffic Control tower on the airport in my later years.

    Officially, I began my aviation journey in 2016 when I enrolled at Mount Allison University in the Bachelor of Science in Aviation program, where my integrated flight training took place with the Moncton Flight College (MFC Training).

    Luck is Where Opportunity Meets Preparation

    As a Sales Manager with Air Canada, I’m certain that I have the best job ever! Working with our customers while traveling the world, it really doesn’t get any better!

    Growing up in the city of Philadelphia, I often saw Black bus and Black cab drivers, but never a Black pilot. Looking back, I recall flying for the first time as a child and deciding I wanted to be a pilot – I went so far as to build my own little cockpit and perform the pilots check list for takeoff.

    BAPN is a Movement, Not a Moment

    I started my career with Air Canada in 2014 as a Passenger Movement Manager at System Operations Control working hard to ensure minimal disruption for passengers during irregular operations. I was essentially a passenger advocate from the operational perspective. After planting my feet firmly in the ground, I branched out with hopes of growing and learning more of the business. This drive and curiosity led me to the revenue/commercial world where I currently work as a Lead Revenue Management Operations Manager. This role has allowed me to connect and network with a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
